Couchbase and CumuLogic Form Partnership

Couchbase, Inc. and CumuLogic are pleased to announce a partnership to bring developers seamless access to Couchbase Server “as a service” via on-premises, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. The new partnership provides the industry’s first production-ready Database-as-a-Service platform that enables developers to dramatically speed time-to-market for mission critical applications powered by Couchbase Server.

The CumuLogic DBaaS platform makes it easy for IT to deliver database infrastructure on-demand for agile development teams by automating the provisioning and management of Couchbase Server via a self-service portal. By supporting on-premises deployments, this joint solution enables IT operations teams to retain control of the underlying infrastructure for governance and security.

The CumuLogic DBaaS platform is extremely simple to deploy. It also provides high availability and resiliency, backup and restore, and performance optimization functions to meet the requirements of mission critical applications.

“The Couchbase and CumuLogic partnership will make it easier for businesses to easily deploy enterprise grade NoSQL for mission critical applications,” said Rod Hamlin, Vice President of Business Development, Couchbase. “With the CumuLogic self service portal for support of on-premises, cloud or hybrid deployments, businesses have the flexibility to access the power of Couchbase Server’s unmatched performance, scalability and reliability in the deployment model that best fits their need.”

“CumuLogic’s DBaaS platform not only makes Couchbase Server development simple for developers, it also empowers Ops teams to easily deploy Couchbase Server at a very large scale, inside the firewall,” said Chip Childers, Vice President of Product Strategy, CumuLogic. “We’re excited to work with Couchbase to provide a consistent DBaaS experience for application development, test and Ops teams.”
