Racemi Updates DynaCenter Cloud Migration Software

Racemi today announced an update to its DynaCenter cloud migration software that synchronizes changed data between source and target to minimize data latency prior to migration cut over. This new delta-data synchronization feature is especially useful for migrating large enterprise applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Process Management (BPM), and other enterprise applications, which are often performed by system integrators.

“Once their servers are migrated and their verification testing is complete, customers need to ensure that their new cloud servers have the latest production configuration and data, prior to ‘cutting over’ from the current production servers to these new servers,” said James Strayer, vice president of product management, Racemi. “This update to DynaCenter automates this procedure and minimizes data latency to provide a trouble-free cut-over process.”

The Racemi software performs a live capture of the entire server stack—including operating system, applications, and configuration—and automatically converts it to run on the selected cloud platform by applying the necessary tools and drivers during the migration process. This ensures existing workloads are migrated in their time-tested configuration, which leads to better reliability and ability to be supported.

The new delta-data synchronization feature recognizes block level changes to files since the previous capture, and then transmits the changed blocks securely using AES/RSA SSL encryption over firewall- friendly, fault-tolerant outbound HTTPS connections to provide maximum protection and reliability. This ensures the new servers have the latest production configuration and setting prior to cut over.
