Netlist Introduces New Product in NVvault Family 

Netlist, Inc., a leading provider of high performance memory storage solutions for the cloud computing and storage markets, announced the introduction of its EXPRESSvault EV3 PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 Non-volatile RAM (NVRAM), the newest product in its NVvault family. Netlist, a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), will demonstrate EXPRESSvault's bandwidth and I/Os per second (IOPS) at the SNIA Data Storage Innovation Conference taking place this week in Santa Clara, CA.

Netlist's EXPRESSvault EV3 family is a new ultra-fast storage class memory tier designed to accelerate mission critical applications in scale-out storage, all-flash arrays, database systems, distributed file systems, and server-side caching.  The product can be used as both a block storage device for efficient DMA transactions and a persistent memory extension mapped directly to the host.  In addition, the EXPRESSvault EV3 can be applied to storage systems using inline deduplication and compression, encryption, indexing and mapping.

EXPRESSvault EV3 is the latest enterprise class product from Netlist, based on the industry-standard PCIe 3.0 interface to enable plug-and-play PCIe connectivity.  It combines the high speed and endurance of DRAM with the non-volatility of MLC NAND flash to deliver sustainable performance of more than 400K I/Os per second (IOPS) with sub-microsecond latency—performance far superior than today's fastest Solid State Drives (SSD).  EXPRESSvault is an ideal match for server and storage solutions in next-generation data centers for cloud computing that integrate IBM POWER or Intel Haswell/Broadwell CPUs and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and PCI Express SSD products.
