CoolIT Systems Features Liquid Cooling Innovations at ISC

FRANKFURT, Germany, July 13 -- CoolIT Systems, the world leader in liquid cooling technologies for desktops, servers and data centers, will highlight its latest innovations in Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) at the International Supercomputing Conference 2015 (ISC 2015) in Frankfurt, Germany, July 13 – 15.

A Bronze Sponsor of ISC 2015, CoolIT is returning for the 4th year presenting Rack DCLC for HPC, Cloud and Enterprise markets. On display will be cooling solutions for the upcoming Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor “Knights Landing” plus a full complement of centralised pumping and heat exchange systems that provide measurable CAPEX and OPEX benefits. Case studies for HPC centers such as the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre, and the Technical University of Denmark will be presented.

CoolIT will host Birds-of-a-Feather session ‘Planning for Liquid Cooling in the Data Center’ on Monday 13th July, 3.30pm-4.30pm at booth #210 in Hall 3 of Messe Frankfurt. The panel will consist of:

  • Geoff Lyon, CEO & CTO at CoolIT Systems Inc. (Chair)
  • Dr. Ingmar Meijer, Senior Technologist at IBM Research Zurich
  • Dr. Jon Summers, Senior Lecturer at Institute of Thermofluids, Leeds University
  • Dr. Michael K Patterson, Senior Power/Thermal Architect at Intel
  • Dr. Nicolas Dube, Distinguished Technologist at HP
  • Peter Hopton, Founder & CVO at Iceotope
  • Dr. Tahir Cader, Distinguished Technologist and Board Member at The Green Grid

CoolIT is also proud to support two University teams with liquid cooled configurations in the ISC 2015 Student Cluster Competition:

  • The Technical University of Chemnitz in partnership with Lenovo, NVIDIA and Mellanox
  • The Jamia Millia Islamia University in partnership with Boston Limited

“With the expanding demand for energy efficient high performance datacenter deployments, I think it is safe to say that most of the HPC world has embraced liquid cooling as the next logical step for both performance and efficiency reasons,” said Geoff Lyon, CEO at CoolIT Systems. “CoolIT is thrilled to be at the forefront of this transition and proud to be an enabling technology for the highest performance clusters being deployed around the world today and for years to come”.CoolIT Executives and Technical staff will be available at booth #1210 to answer any questions.

About ISC High Performance (ISC 2015)

ISC High Performance, formerly known as ISC (the International Supercomputing Conference), is the world’s oldest and Europe’s foremost HPC conference. Its history dates back 30 years, when in 1986 the late Hans Werner Meuer, in his capacity as the director of the Mannheim Computing Center and professor for computer science, organized the world’s first “Supercomputer Seminar” at Mannheim University. In its inaugural year, it drew 81 attendees, mostly German-speaking. Today it is valued by over 2,600 international attendees as a “must attend” HPC event.

About CoolIT Systems
