Ali Kutay to Join UberCloud Board of Directors 

LOS ALTOS, Calif., Feb. 11 -- UberCloud, the online marketplace for engineers and scientists to discover, try, buy computing on demand, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Ali Kutay a member.

Mr. Ali R. Kutay currently serves as Chairman and CEO of WebAction, a big data company that offers a real time stream analytics platform to help businesses deal with high volumes of data by offering quick insights. WebAction just got an additional $20 million in a series B funding round. Previously, Mr. Kutay served as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of GoldenGate Software, Inc., which was later acquired by Oracle. From 1998 to 2003 Mr. Kutay served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AltoWeb Inc. which he founded in 1999. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Kutay held the role as the President and Chief Executive Officer of WebLogic Inc., which was merged with BEA Systems Inc. in 1998, and later acquired by Oracle.
