vCompute Partners With R Systems to Provide Additional Supercomputing and Cloud Resources

HOUSTON, Tex., July 26 -- vCompute announced today that it has completed a partnership agreement with R Systems NA Inc. to host additional HPC and Cloud infrastructure in the Houston vCompute data center facility. This high density, non-blocking infiniband configuration allows vCompute clients to immediately benefit from the power of our high performance computing services and deliver reliable and powerful commercial IT, HPC and Cloud solutions to their end users.

These systems consist of thousands of Sandy Bridge cores and robust storage with infiniband and extreme data networking. This configuration is perfect for many fields that have massive computational needs such as seismic data processing, molecular modeling, manufacturing simulations, financial modeling, bioinformatics, climatic modeling, medical research, software development and many others.  It also provides secure customizable private cloud capabilities to accommodate clients that want to setup their own cloud to provide specific services.

Virtual Compute Corporation announces partnership with R Systems NA Inc. to provide additional Super Computing and Private Cloud services. Why buy depreciating gear when you can use our resources for a fraction of the cost. The best thing about vCompute is all you have to do is "Just Use It".

"We believe the partnership with R Systems will benefit vCompute clients allowing reductions in capital expenditures for additional compute, power and data center space and give them resources immediately when work loads increase. This flexibility allows clients, regardless of size, to compete at a higher level within industries that need this type of supercomputing resource," commented Edward V. Hawes, CEO of vCompute.

vCompute has been in operation since 2003, and is a premier global provider of high performance computing, managed services and custom data center deployments for the energy, manufacturing, scientific, government and commercial sectors. This partnership agreement along with vCompute's current baseline of compute increases the total compute capacity to over 10,000 cores.

When asked about future plans, vCompute CEO Edward V. Hawes commented, "vCompute is continuing on a path of substantial expansion. I expect to see explosive growth in our HPC / Cloud services as well as our managed data center services globally."

When asked about the vCompute partnership R Systems co-founder Brian Kucic commented, "With the current uncertain economic conditions, the R Systems - vCompute partnership provides an attractive alternative to owning and operating an on-premise HPC solution. This partnership facilitates the flexibility to have an aggressively priced, Opex solution without being locked into a long term commitment or capital investment. Considering the growing momentum of the Cloud movement, there is no better time to contact R Systems and let us demonstrate how this partnership can work for you."
