Inspur Launches InCloud 3000 Hyperconverged Solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Aug. 17 -- Inspur, the leading data center product and solution provider, has announced the launch of its InCloud 3000 hyperconverged solutions at the Intel Developer Forum 2016. The new offering provides simplicity, high efficiency and availability, as well as gives large and mid-sized datacenters the freedom to choose hypervisors without being locked in. Customers also benefit from the InCloud 3000's reliability and availability through N+N redundancy, 47% higher density and 15% higher energy efficiency compared to 1U rack-mounted servers.

The Inspur InCloud 3000 integrates compute, storage, networking, preconfigured virtualization resources and a cloud management platform. As a modular solution, it not only supports half-width compute node, full-width 4-8 socket nodes stack, PCIe extension node and storage extension node, but also integrates scale-out and scale-up technologies to provide the residence and flexibility enterprise datacenters need. The InCloud 3000 has 47% higher density compared to 1U rack-mounted server solutions. Its combined power supply and cooling system reduces power consumption by 15%.

The InCloud 3000 is based on Inspur's SmartRack, a rack scale converged solution that has been widely adopted by world'sleading internet and e-commerce giants – including Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent.

The InCloud 3000 utilizes VMware Virtual SAN,and is preconfigured with the new Inspur InCloud OS 4.5 and Quick Deployment Tools (QDT), resulting in a deployment speed that is ten times faster than traditional solutions. Featuring storage policy-based management, VMware Virtual SAN shifts the management model for storage from the device to the application, enabling administrators to provision storage for applications in minutes. With QDT, 4,800 virtual machines or 12,480 virtual desktops can be deployed within two hours. The InCloud 3000 includes a preconfigured InCloud Manager, providing comprehensive features –including resource, operation and domain management, performance and service status monitoring, workflow, metering and billing, and self-service.

"VMware and Inspur have enjoyed eight years of cooperation. Since 2008, Inspur has been an OEM partner and provider of VMware virtualization solutions. With Inspur and VMware technologies, mutual customers can realize reduced deployment times and rapidly deliver business benefits," said Skip Bacon, vice president, Partner Development, Storage and Availability Business Unit, VMware.

John Hu, Vice President of Inspur Group said, "As a leading service provider in cloud computing and big data, Inspur has accumulated technology strengths in high-end servers, large-scale storage, cloud OS, information security and IaaS, PaaS and SaaS total solutions.
