MarkLogic Recognized in New Gartner Magic Quadrant

SAN CARLOS, Calif., Oct. 10 -- MarkLogic Corporation, a leading operational and transactional Enterprise NoSQL database provider, has announced that Gartner placed MarkLogic the highest for ability to execute in the Challengers quadrant in its new Gartner Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems. As the world’s best database for integrating data from silos, MarkLogic believes the Gartner report is further evidence that new generation databases are becoming the go-to alternative to relational databases and ETL solutions, helping organizations compete in today’s modern data environment.

“Businesses today need a unified, actionable, 360 view of data in order to make better business decisions, get to market faster and reduce costs. But they can’t do that easily or quickly because data is spread across disconnected databases. The traditional means of integrating data— relational databases and ETL tools—is simply too time- and cost-intensive,” said MarkLogic Chief Executive Officer and President Gary Bloom. “MarkLogic is the world’s best database for integrating data from silos. Our flexible database platform gets data in and out easily without sacrificing enterprise-essential features like high availability and government-grade security. And with innovative features like integrated search, semantics, bi-temporal and tiered storage we will continue to help customers accelerate their business-critical database applications.”

Customers are reporting on the value, as noted in the August 24, 2016, Gartner Peer Insights Review: “We found MarkLogic to be the fastest path to insights on new data sources. As of today, we’re faster at onboarding new data with MarkLogic than with traditional ETL or Hadoop.”

NoSQL is experiencing an upward trend in the industry, with MarkLogic in the lead. The global NoSQL market is projected to reach $4.2 billion by 2020 and MarkLogic is a top revenue driver amongst its peers. As the industry’s most trusted Enterprise NoSQL operational and transactional database for over a decade, MarkLogic has more than 1,000 global enterprises and government customers relying on the MarkLogic database to integrate data and build innovative applications on a 360-degree view of their data, which drives competitive advantage.
