Atos Named a Leader in IoT Services by NelsonHall

PARIS, July 27, 2017 – Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, today announces that it has been named a ‘Leader’* by global research and advisory firm NelsonHall in its latest NEAT analysis on Internet of Things (IoT) Services. Furthermore, in the associated NelsonHall market analysis report, Atos has been ranked third in Europe in terms of market share.

The NelsonHall NEAT vendor evaluation study assesses 23 of the most significant service providers that deliver and operate IoT services, against their ‘ability to deliver immediate benefit’ and their ‘ability to meet future requirements’. Atos was positioned as a Leader in both ‘ability to deliver immediate benefit’ and ‘ability to meet future requirements’ for IoT Services overall.

In the market analysis report, NelsonHall predicts that the IoT market will grow at 26% per annum to reach $6.4bn in 2021, with growth primarily due to the acceleration of B2B use cases (connected car, smart manufacturing, and smart logistics). According to independent research, nearly 90% of businesses expect data-driven insight to become a key differentiator by 2020.

Through Atos Codex, the Atos brand for advanced analytics, Internet of Things and cognitive solutions, Atos delivers, manages and secures the full IoT value chain from connected devices to edge computing to the datacenter, leveraging agile processes, innovative tooling and automation, working with its extensive IoT partner ecosystem. These IoT services combine connectivity and platforms delivered by Worldline, an Atos company, and partner platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, with advanced, business-driven analytics solutions, enabling customers to securely transform data into reliable business value in every market.

The NelsonHall report identifies the following strengths of Atos in IoT services:

·         Strong IoT consulting capabilities to deliver business value

·         Broad end-to-end IoT offering that includes strategy, consulting, build, run and security to support customers’ digital transformation

·         Entry-level strategy to help clients experiment with IoT

·         Large client base in IoT, with case study references across various geographies and industries (including insurance, fleet management, connected cars, connected home, smart city, Industry 4.0, telecom, utilities and media).

According to Dominique Raviart, IT Services Practice Director, NelsonHall: “Atos’ position as a Leader in NelsonHall's IoT Services NEAT evaluation is thanks to its comprehensive IoT offering and strong consulting capabilities.”
