Noodle.ai Extends Rapid Growth with Strategic Executive Hires and New Headquarters

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 19, 2019 -- Noodle.ai, a leading provider of Enterprise AI applications, announces record growth in 2018 and two new additions to its executive team.

In 2018, Noodle.ai raised a $35 million Series B funding round led by Dell Technologies Capital and previous investor TPG Growth. The funds brought its fundraising total to $51 million, and will enable expansion of the company’s suite of applications that focus on reducing waste in manufacturing & supply chains around the world.

Over the past year, Noodle.ai has increased its headcount by more than 100 percent, and expanded presence to Pittsburgh, New York and Washington, D.C. This month, the company moved into its new headquarters at 115 Sansome St. in San Francisco to prepare for continued growth.

Gail Moody-Byrd has joined Noodle.ai as its CMO, having led marketing activities for successive waves of emerging technology: mobile, social, cloud, and now artificial intelligence. She most recently served as Vice-President and Head of Web Marketing at SAP, where her team led the development of the first SAP-branded social channels, which grew in number from 5 to 1,200 social accounts globally and played a role in the company’s own digital transformation. Prior to SAP, she served in several leadership roles at Palm, Inc. during the emergence of mobile computing for the enterprise, where she focused on creating value for healthcare, field service and sales force automation.

Previously, she served as a consultant in the Retail Practice of McKinsey & Company in New York and played key roles in Brand Management and Demand Forecasting with Levi Strauss & Co. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Spelman College.

Further enhancing its leadership team, Nick Yoo has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer to extend Noodle.ai’s state-of-the-art product security. Bringing more than 20 years of IT experience to his new role at Noodle.ai, he served as Chief Security Officer at BMC Software, where he was responsible for product security. His previous roles included Chief Security Architect at McKesson Corporation, leading its global security architecture and strategic cybersecurity initiatives, and VP of Software Engineering at Samsung SDS, among other roles. He holds a BA in Business Administration, a Master’s in Cybersecurity, and numerous professional certifications, such as CISM and CISSP.

“As AI increasingly empowers organizations to reduce waste in every aspect of their business, we are seeing a rising wave of demand for Enterprise AI® solutions,” said Noodle.ai CEO Steve Pratt. “We are thrilled to add Gail and Nick, who will each bring unique elements to our leadership team as we enter a new stage of growth. All of our momentum helps us better equip business users with data science-driven tools, to ultimately move the world in a sustainable direction.”

Throughout 2018, the company received significant recognition for its vision and success, as it was named the top B2B and AI startup by LinkedIn, the #1 startup in the US by Tech Guru Daily and a winner of Business Intelligence Group’s BIG innovation Awards.

About Noodle.ai

Noodle.ai applies advanced data science to industries at the core of the global economy to create a world without waste. Legacy enterprise software systems have fixed rules, have blinders, do not learn, and give no sense of risks or opportunities. Noodle.ai’s applications focus on areas of waste in factories & supply chains. Each application ingests data from internal systems and Noodle.ai data cartridges. We then use our supercomputing AI platform, The BEAST, to discover hidden patterns in operations. Our applications help leaders reduce buffer sizes, be more responsive, and increase flow to create less waste. Founded in 2016, Noodle.ai is led by executives previously with the top firms in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and management consulting.
